In the middle hours of the sunday, a mysterious post appeared on one of the facebook messaging groups by a person named Sue Ridge. It is not precisely known where she fits into the cosmic web of the cooker movement but she posted a cryptic message that camp EPIC and changed the face of the protest for ever.

The Message

AWESOME NEWS!!

After lengthy discussions with Canberra Tourism, Epic and the AFP We can confirm that we have negotiated an extra 48 hours for us to stay on at epic.

We MUST leave by 2pm on Tuesday 15th February. Please do not stay longer than this.

The extra time has been granted to us in good faith and the AFP will be dishing out hefty fines to anyone who stays past 2pm on Tuesday 15th.

Reception

The message was met by the camp and leadership with some misgivings, and it was determined to maintain the line "they cant move us, we are too many".

However, people did start to leave after this point.
